Extraordinary Jeter gamer during arguably one of the best teams of all time journey to the World Championship! The bigger the stage, the better for Derek Jeter. Jeter has a flair for putting together phenomenal games when they count, as he's one of the best clutch hitters in the game. This Louisville Slugger P72 was used by the then up-and-coming All-Star in the 1997-98 seasons with the New York Yankees, and is a fantastic gamer. Measuring 34 inches and weighing 32 ounces, this uncracked bat features a slight area of dead wood in the front of the barrel. A number of blue and white ball transfer marks surround the barrel, as do hit marks. The barrel is also highlighted by Jeter's autograph in silver ink ("8"). A moderate layering of pine tar appears on the handle. As Jeter now comes within days of reaching his 3,000th hit (amazingly, he is the only career Yankee to ever reach the accomplishment), now serves as a great time to invest in The Captain. Early game used material (pre-1999) is of utmost rarity and will continue to be the most sought-after by collectors. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from game used bat expert John Taube/PSA/DNA.
